Drugs which increase the volume of urine excreted in a given period without dangerous effects.
Therapeutic uses of diuretics
1-decrease the volume of ascitic fluid in cardiac diseased animal.
2-removal of toxic material from the body.
3-decrease body temperature in fever and in animals can not dissipate heat by sweating as dog .
4-anti hypertensive
5-supplemented with renal antibiotics as gentamicin to make suitable PH of urine for maximum effect
