mode of action:inhibition Na reabsorption in ascending loop of henel and increase secretion K in distal tubule.

used in acute pulmonary odema.

note:very potent when given I/V,large dose results in hyponatremia(decrease Na in blood ),dehydration ,hypokalemia(decrease K in blood).
