Thiazide derivatives diuretics-
ex:chlorothiazide(saluric)-hydrochlorothiazide(hydrosaluric)-benzthiazide-metolazone- long acting thiazides as asprinox.
mode of action:inhibition Na and Cl ions reabsorption in proximal convoluted tubule results in decrease reabsorption of water and increase ecxcretion of K in distal convoluted tubule.
used in :coronary heart failure CHF
